Swiss Military Map Case

Bought a Swiss military map case from Ducks Army Shop in Dulliken, for the 'Around The World Relay' over in the Thunderbird1600.com forum.







It'll be used to hold the Thunderbird1600 plaque and a log-book as they travel together around the world.

I wonder how long it will be until it arrives in Switzerland?

Swiss Military Museum, Full

With wonderful weather and not feeling 100%, I decided to take the day off and relax & enjoy myself.
One task I had to do was to buy a couple of Ex-military map cases from the shop at the military museum.
One small missing piece of information, they are only open as from April!




But I was still able to make a picture or two.




I found this amazing - just how thick the wall of the tank turret is/was:




So I set off back home, stopping at a few sights that I thought to make a picture of...

A fortress built in 1938!






Now's the time to make this picture... in summer you can't go anywhere near the hut!
