Frustrating Day - Need A Curry!

So the day didn't quite turn out as I thought it would!

Planned was to have a new chain set on my Tigger, install the Touratech crash bars and fit the Touratech gear shifter.
Well - the wrong chain was ordered!
The Touratech crash bars don't fit!
But the gear shifter was OK...

Now I have to confront Touratech and give back their product that doesn't fit!

That's a full inch out! The other side isn't any better...

So - that only thing needed to calm me down is a nice hot curry!

Triumph - Old Fuel Tank Rack

If and when I get my next Triumph - it'll be a Bonneville motor...
Some kind of street bobbed machine.

But one thing is for sure - I'd like to have the old style tank rank!

I just think it looks 'cool'.

Day Out To The Bodensee - Dental Appointment

Took the day off work to have a dental check-up. My dentist is still the same one as I had when living in Öhningen back in 1989!

Once the check was done, I decided to drive back through the village of Öhningen and see what has changed...

Much!

What was once Ritz's supermarket!
CLOSED

What was once the village butcher!
CLOSED

What was once Conny's Cafe & Bakery!
CLOSED

Sad to think that I spent so much time there - it was where I learnt German, made friends, made memories...

What was still open was the Adler hotel.

And the Grille pub.

Upsetting to think back and see now.
Just goes to show - time stops for no one!

So I continued to Stein am Rhein for my breakfast - since I hadn't eaten anything prior to the dental appointment at 7:30 am!

Stein in the snow!!!
Yes, it's still winter and snowing...

Nice snow...

But coffee was needed!

And possibly a second one ;-)

From there a quick trip to Touratech to collect some items...

Before driving back to my clubhouse (Moto91) for yet another coffee :-)

A busy day...
Always is when I go to The dentist!

*thumbs up*

Ride Out On Tigger

What a wonderful time of year ~ all the colours, smells and atmospheres. I love the Autumn. So while Anna was out for an hour, I took the Tigger for a spin and simply enjoyed EVERY minute of it. I could find the time to do some more art farty pictures again... Get back into my inner self! It's so peaceful in these conditions - cool & misty. It nature telling us to slow down and get ready for what's to come. Then finally I decided it was time for a coffee! So set the direction to my coffee bar... Moto91 :-) Fantastic start to my holidays...

Red BLING & Brake Cables On Tigger

Tigger is getting new brake cables!
Red ones :-)

The main reason is due to the fact that I wanted the front routing of the cables made differently:
2 separate cables and not 1 that looped from side to side.

Due to the fact that I have the ABS model - the brake lever line has to go down to the ABS Module first, before going back out to the front brakes.
Naturally - if you don't have ABS then it's a simple brake line from the lever down to the front brake callipers.

Here's the ABS module under the seat at the back of the fuel tank.

The Bird Is Back Together

Wonderful!
Lovely!

What's missing are the tank badges.
But I need to think about them first.

Rodger will take her home this evening to test everything then I can come and collect some time after tomorrow lunch. . .
I'm excited!
