Tradition: Fish & Chips Supper

As always, we have to have fish & Chips on day one! Today was no exception.

Fish & Chips with mushy green peas...
Fantastic.

Back At Poplar Farm

Sunny....!?
Sandy beaches....!?

Nope ~ this is good old Blighty and mugs of tea weather.

Plenty of fruit this year. Too much for mum and dad.

That would be some good cider there!

Boarded LX394

Just wondering if I should risk asking for a coffee...!?

Anna And The Trophy SE

It was decided that Anna and I go away for the long weekend.

"Lets try a motor bike tour" she said...

Well I didn't need to hear her say that twice!
So I rented the new Triumph Trophy SE for 4 days and started the packing.

Plan......!?
What plan!?

In the well spoken words of Freddie Mercury:
"Just get on ya bikes and ride..."

So day one saw us ride down to Livigno in Italy. This included an Alp pass or two!

Finally we arrived at the hotel Alexander and were warmly welcomed...

That evening involved some planning of the days ahead.

We ended up staying in Livigno for 2 days as it was so nice.

And finally back home.

The route:

Here's some statistics of the ride.

In the end we did 802 km!

An average speed of 49.6 km/h

And an average consumption of 3.9 ltr/100km!

Raise The Dust - Day 8: Homeward Bound

Once again - a drizzly rainy morning!
But we didn't care - we knew how to cope with things like that by now!
We'd just ridden across the Pyrenees on Triumph Scramblers!

So it was time to pack things away and take those last photographs...

We'd done it! We'd:

Raised The Dust.
Raised The Mud.
Raised The Snow.
Raised The Rivers.

... and without a doubt, we'd...

Raised a glass or two along the way :-)

All that's missing now is a patch to saw on my jacket!

Höllmut... Where's my patch?

Raise The Dust - Day 7: Hospederia Pintano To San Sebastián

The day started off rather sunny...

But soon turned nasty and grey!

Then the rains came and REAL adventures...
Luckily Denis had his Leatherman with him!

Finally, through all the rains and winds, we made it to the Atlantic...
YEAH!

Raise The Dust - Day 6: Villa Virginia To Hospederia Pintano

Getting the Motorädels out of the garage...

Our personal tour guides were then placed on John and mine bikes!
Thanks Denis...

Short break to take in the views...

Observatory for the vultures.

Another break after the slippy roads...

Finally we arrived at the Hospederia in Villa de Pintano.
