Tigger On The Klausen Pass

Well it is hard to believe but the Klausen pass is STILL open!
*scratching head and pondering hard*
It's almost December and there is NO SNOW up there. That's unbelievable.

But it's also goooooood....
It meant that I had the road to myself :-)
NO TRAFFIC WHAT SO EVER.
PERFECT.

I rode up from the Glarus side over to Uri. The pass really starts down at Linthal where the first couple of curves when climbing out are cobbled!

From there you ride up onto the Urner Boden where it (the valley, but not the road :-) flattens out a little with spectacular scenery.

Then you have a few more curves by Jägerbalm that takes you up and past the Vorder Chlus - a VERY impressive curved wall of rock...

... before coming to the top of the pass.

Looking down towards Altdorf you could see the thick foggy soup!

A wonderful ride - especially nice since it was the first pass I've ridden with the Tigger and there was absolutely no other traffic around.!

Afternoon Coffee & Cake

Back on track...

Fit again and enjoying a coffee and cake with Anna in Tiengen.

When Will It Stop?

Sat at home, hot cushion on my neck, schlaf-nerven tea in front of me and my head thumping away!

Just look at the rapid change in air pressure this afternoon...
Now wonder today was a nightmare.

Another Night Of Headache

That's a good zig-zag profile if ever I saw one!

I'm sure it has something to do with my condition.

Schluchsee & Sunshine Once Again

Well Anna requested that we get out and see some sunshine! The thick foggy soup is still hanging around in the low-lands... So off we went direction Schluchsee.

Just a few hundred meters up and the fog was left behind us - sunshine all the way.

We parked at Schluchsee and then walked along the lake a little while after first crossing the train station.

The fishers were out... Too blummin cold for me to be sat in a boat all afternoon!

The view over to Schluchsee

After the walk it was time for a warm drink and some hot Apfelstrüdel...

Plagued With Headache.

What a horrible evening/night/morning so far....

Since riding back down from the Black Forest I have had a stinking headache!

Looking at the barometer...

... it does say there was a rapid change in air pressure while I rode back, but it has stabilized a little since!?!
I wonder what it is?

I just hope I can now get a little sleep...

Ride Out With Tigger To Schluchsee

Basically I wanted to get up out of the fog we have here in Bad Zurzach and go and have a look at some knives which can be found at a specialist shop in Schluchsee.
The shop has some fantastic knives, but they come with their price too!

This one here, is a custom made knife - limited to 100 pieces. Price €199.00

Well, believe it or not, but I was able to just look at them and not buy any!
Which I found to be very good for me...

From Schluchsee, I rode NW up along the lake of Schluchsee and then turned left to go past Aha and Äule before riding over the pass that brings you over to Menzenschwand. The sunshine was lovely over on the South West facing side of the hill - lovely and warm. Good enough to make a photo or two :-)

Then down to Sankt Blasien where it was rather icy! From there I twisted my way back down into the fog and mist back to Bad Zurzach.

The column of steam is from the cooling tower at the Leibstadt Nuclear Power Plant. Those there big hills in the background are the Alps I'll have you know.

A few nearer hill tops sticking up out of the fog with the Alps far away in the distance - it looked wonderful.

Looking down in direction of Waldshut-Tiengen! Actually down there is Indlekofen - Yup, somewhere just down there in that there thick foggy soup!

Moto91 - Bar91

What better way to make people smile than to be different for the norm!

Like wearing a Scottish Kilt for the Moto91 Bar91 event...

You know, I often think that too many people just follow those in front of them and don't really think about making the effort to do that what THEY would like to do.

I wanted to wear a Kilt...
And it was great.

ZEGA Pro 25ltr Topcase

Today I finally made a decision!
Yes, that's right. I - Lee - made a decision as to which topcase to buy:

- small or large -
?

Well, I took the smaller case!

... although I'm now thinking it might have been better had I taken the larger one!?!?

There's no question about it, the smaller one looks better.
Not so large and over-sized.
More neat and petit.

Excellent quality. Really solid locking system       -      And not so wide! Same width as the hand-grips

I also bought the Zega Pro luggage net M for the inside of the lid:

And a set of locks:

And all together I got a good price: 10% knocked off the normal price.

Which paid for my lunch at the Sumy Kebab Bar.

Lahmacun and chips with a coffee!

:-D
Fantastic....!
